about

This is the second album in the "Dissolution" series from Cloudland Blue Quartet. The LPs comprise improvised piano pieces and ambience.

It follows on from the success of the LP "Dissolution", released in April 2021, also available on Bandcamp.

As with CBQ's "Classical" series ("Satie", "Cage", "Beethoven", "Schoenberg/Webern/Berg", "Haydn" and the soon to be released "Wagner") and the guitarscape series "Disquietmusik" (Volumes I-V, with volume VI due at the end of 2022), it is hoped this series of albums will also continue into the future.

A quartet in name only, initially influenced by Fripp & Eno's "No Pussyfooting" and The Velvet Underground's debut, songwriter & soundscaper David Reilly started musicking in 1977 by creating drones using sellotape on the keys of his dad's Bontempi Organ.
