A previously unreleased version of the third track from the next CBQ album “Betonmusik”, which comprised just three albeit very long pieces. An edit of the first is next in this collection, while the second was true “Betonmusik” or “Musique Concrete”, foregoing actual music for 20 minutes of looped sound effects. This piece (the original take which broke down too early) again features no actual playing by me – just some judicious looping of a couple of short extracts from one of Beethoven’s late string quartets, Opus 132 – a piece to which I’ve returned several times over the years, most recently on “We Drove” from 2009’s “Soundingfall”...
